Steamers Beach Lodge is split into 17 rooms and sleeps 75 guests at full capacity, with 61 people in single beds and 14 people in 7 double beds. Each room has bedding, pillows, heaters, chairs, a mirror, and a sink. Some of the rooms walk out onto a deck. There are separate male and female bathrooms along with separate toilets.

Room configurations as follows:

• 4 x Quad Rooms (each with 2 sets of bunks)
• 1 x Twin room (with 1 set of bunks)
• 4 x 6 bed dorms (each with 3 sets of bunks)
• 1 x 8 bed dorm (with 4 sets bunks)
• 5 x Double & Single rooms (each with 1 set of bunks that has a Double on bottom & a Single on top)
• 2 x Double & 3 Single rooms (each with 2 sets of bunks, 1 bunk has a Double on bottom & a Single on top and 1 set of Single bunks)

Steamers Beach also has a shared kitchen, dining room and lounge area a few steps across a boardwalk from the accommodation lodge. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need to prepare and cook meals for large groups. The lounge area features a TV with selected Sky TV channels, a wood fire, chairs and couches with further seating outside on the wooden deck area. There is a separate laundry with two washing machines, two dryers and a washtub along with drying lines to the side of the building. The whole complex is secured with keys required to open both the living and sleeping areas.

West Arm offers an excellent alternative to shared dorm-style rooms for groups looking for the privacy of Single and Double rooms. There are five 'wings' containing the accommodation and bathrooms, with a separate communal area located centrally to the lodge rooms containing kitchen, dining & lounge areas.

Four of the wings have up to 20 Single bedrooms in each, with the fifth wing containing 12 Single rooms and 9 Double rooms. All rooms contain a bed, bedding, heater, mirror, chair and table. The bathrooms are internally accessed and located at the end of the hallway in each wing, providing separate shower & toilet facilities. An accessible bathroom is available with a walk-in shower for those that may require it (please enquire upon booking).

The communal area is split into kitchen, dining and lounge areas. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridges, freezers, cooktops, ovens, sinks, and prep areas. The dining area has seating for approximately 26 people, with more tables and chairs available in the spacious TV lounge. The outside deck area offers a great spot to relax and take in the sun after a day enjoying Fiordland.

Basic Cabins:
Cabins are a great choice for mixed-sized groups. There are 17 individual Cabins split into 10 Double, 2 Twin, and 5 Triple (1 Single bed & set of bunks).

Luxmore Standard Rooms:
These are perfect for 36 people or less. Our Luxmore building is a smaller facility that has 10 rooms consisting of 2 Double rooms (Double beds) and 8 Quad rooms containing 2 sets of bunk beds. All 10 rooms have bedding, pillows and a heater.

These rooms use the Luxmore Communal Facilities:
The modern Luxmore facilities feature large toilet and shower blocks, ensuring you never have to queue for a hot shower at the end of a long day. Each of the male and female facilities have separate accessible bathrooms with a walk-in shower, toilet and hand basin in each. The communal laundry contains 4 washing machines, 3 dryers, a washtub and 2 ironing boards (irons can be borrowed from reception).

The extensive kitchen facilities include fridge and freezer space, cooktops, ovens, sinks and microwaves. The dining room and TV lounge have seating for approximately 50 people and a heat pump. Outside there is a paved deck area with outdoor tables and two BBQs – great for a sausage sizzle!
